Classic Board Games Wordfind

Everyone’s been talking about the recent Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit, and the chess-themed show even sparked a run on chess boards for holiday gifts. By all accounts, board game playing was up in 2020, as people who are quarantining together settled in for a round of Parcheesi or checkers. People are challenging each other to virtual games, as well!

This is good news for our brain health. A recent study from the University of Edinburgh showed that board games provide great mental exercise. “People who play games—such as cards and board games—are more likely to stay mentally sharp in later life,” said the researchers. And it’s never too late to learn a new game. “People who increased game playing during their 70s were more likely to maintain certain thinking skills as they grew older,” said the team.

Word puzzles are good brain exercise too, so this month, we’ve combined the two by hiding the names of 20 classic board games in this wordfind. Click here to download your copy of the puzzle.
